An important element of the project is the transcription of the index cards registering the 1956 refugees. The digitised version of the cards, which contain basic information on the refugees, will first be automatically scanned and then checked by our staff in an online interface to ensure that the computer has transcribed the data correctly. If necessary, errors are corrected.

Internship work is also necessary for Hungarian university students to obtain a degree: the Humanities Research Center officially certifies internship activity.
